We are Citizens AGAINST Pacific Steel’s Proposed Class II (Hazardous Waste) Landfill, also called, “Stop the Shepherd Landfill”. The proposed location of the landfill is at the corner of Hwy 87 and Shepherd Acton Road, in Shepherd, MT.
The community was completely unaware of this project until October 25. Pacific Steel was hoping no one in the community would find out about this project, and the draft Environmental Analysis would get approved by the MT DEQ without any public comments or turmoil. Our team united and sent hundreds of emails to MT DEQ, requesting an extension to review the draft EA.
We now have until November 30, 2023 to review the draft and submit any questions, concerns, etc. Time to prove them wrong and stand as a united front to STOP the Shepherd Landfill.
